back and look forward means referring back to the thesis statement and then

looking forward to the summary statement.

You

should reinforce the signposts using your voice and body language.

For

a repetitive transition signal, you always have to use exactly the same word twice.

is essentially a sub-category of “transitional words and phrases”.

You

should put in as many signposts as you possibly can.
