Helen asked chatGPT to create a list references for her to conduct a literature review into her topic. She later found out that many of the references were "hallucinations" and did not exist. When she was writing up her assessment she used some of these references without checking or reading them herself. This is an ethical  and effective use of AI.

Benny asked an AI tool to write a literature review based on the topic for his assignment. He read through the document and changed a couple of sentences before submitting this as his assessment. This is an ethical and appropriate use AI.

Jenny used chatGPT to help her develop an outline for a research report. She used some of the output and then edited the outline prior to writing her report. This is considered an ethical use of AI in the academic context.
