classes

meet via computer, through an online learning management system, like Moodle. Students log in to attend class and they access course lectures,

receive assignments, and correspond with classmates and instructors.

an appropriate signature.

is a condition or requirement that must be met before enrolling in a course.

Student's

grade point average is the equivalent of his or her average for curriculum

course work. Each letter grade has an equivalent point value: A = 4 points, B =

3 points, C = 2, D = 1 and F = 0.

Pre-college level courses

which help students improve skills and prepare for college-level courses. Based

on your placement test scores, these courses may be required in order to be

eligible to take college-level courses required for your program of study.

Is

placed on a student's academic record when an outstanding obligation, monetary

or material, occurs. It is released when the obligation has been satisfactorily

met. Any person who has a hold placed on their record will not be allowed to

register, receive transcripts, or receive any other services from the college

until it is released.

They may be chosen from a variety of courses.

student's chosen field of study. It usually requires the successful completion

to college and are dependent on such factors as resident or out-of-state

status, level of classes enrolled in and whether the institution is publicly or

privately financed.

program you have chosen to pursue, and help you with any academic problems you

may encounter.

This

career degree gives you technical skills for entry-level employment in the

workforce. It is not designed for transfer. Although the AAS is not considered

a transfer degree, agreements may be in place with other institutions that

allow smooth transfer of credits.

This is the undergraduate

degree offered by four-year colleges and universities.  The minimum credit hour requirement for this degree is 120 hours.

Is granted upon completion

of a program of at least two, but less than four years of college work. These degrees are conferred

upon students who successfully complete programs designed for transfer to a

senior college and require completion of a minimum of 60

credit hours.

A unit

of measure that represents an hour of instruction that can be applied to the

total number of hours needed for completing the requirements of a degree,

diploma, certificate or other formal award.
