Blood is carefully pressure injected into the capillary tubes using the Hamilton safety syringe until the tubes are about 80% full.

This part of the experiment is conducted under supervision from one of the demonstrators.

Each group will measure the Ht value of either a control sample or a drug-treated sample.

After reading the haematocrit (Ht) of the control sample, add either drug A or B and measure how the Ht changes.

The blood vials must be thoroughly shaken before opening the cap and filling the capillary tubes.
