Be a qualified electrician.

Use an oscilloscope to check that the frequency from the mains outlet you are going to use is 50Hz.

Use a multimeter to check that the voltage from the mains outlet you are going to use is 240V.

Check that the equipment has a safety tag and the current date is not more than a few months past the date on the safety tag.

Visually check all cords and plugs for damage.
