Politics has to do with authorities making authoritative decisions for the part of society, that elected them (authorities) into office.

 Politics has to do with authoritative decisions that are made by those with the necessary power, authority, legitimacy and competency, i.e. political decision-makers.

Politics relate to the highest authoritative decisions made for the whole of society.

Politics has to do with the interaction and the relationship between the government and its subjects.
