Your

organization is about to undertake a new strategic direction that will result

in numerous changes in the organization. 

A number of employees are

resisting the proposed change.

It is important that you respond and seek to understand their reasoning

so you can help these employees overcome their resistance to change.

To do

this, you begin by listening to people who disagree with the change with an

open mind. In doing so, you realized that perhaps your change could be improved

by reconsidering the magnitude of the change, based on the idea that smaller incremental

changes would be more manageable and less overwhelming for employees. You

backed up this decision by trying to connect the changes to things that matter

most to your team so that they can see how the bigger picture aligns with their

values.
