Just note that this is actually not a normal question level for this course, but rather to see if you are a resonance ninja. It comes from a recent research talk we had. The reaction is the start of a dehydration reaction, which you will cover later, where the 3° alcohol is ripped off by the acid leaving a carbocation as shown.
