Dr Amy Farrah Fowler has submitted an animal ethics application proposing

to study the beneficial effects of a new drug that prevents neuronal apoptosis

in a mouse model of permanent stroke. The animal ethics committee are very

concerned that the mice will be in pain and have difficulties eating after

surgery. The committee requests that Dr Farrah Fowler revises her application

as they are concerned that the stroke model causes too much pain and discomfort

to the animal.
