Listen carefully. Ask for clarification if necessary. Wait until the person has finished talking to respond and avoid interrupting.

 Interrupt others to tell them your "better" idea , thus reducing time and reducing conflict.

Summarise and repeat back what you have heard 

Consider adopting a team social contract to set expectations upfront.  Establish a good feedback loop. Invite feedback on our own ideas Encourage openness to alternate solutions 

Only work with some of the team members. No point in ensuring all feel included.

Make sure you know your answer to what your team member has to say, before your team member has finished speaking.

 Respect and build on other people’s ideas. Avoid criticising other’s ideas, instead provide constructive feedback. Set standards (communication, expectations, documentation etc) ahead of time.
