Domicile of origin can only revive where someone who was born in South Africa and left the country permanently, later returns with the intention of living in South Africa indefinitely.

To determine whether a person has the intention to stay at a specific place, the duration of a person’s physical presence may be considered.

There is an irrebuttable presumption that a minor who normally lives with his or her parent is domiciled where the parental home is.
