At the iSimangaliso Wetland Park in KwaZulu-Natal, tourism initiatives focus on balancing economic growth, environmental protection and community development. Local communities are involved in tourism enterprises such as guided tours and accommodation services, generating income and employment. At the same time, strict environmental regulations safeguard the biodiversity of the park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
