According to homeopathy theories, the more you dilute a substance the stronger it becomes. However, when the liquid is tested there is no trace of the original substance. This is not a problem for the theory as even though there is technically no measurable amount of the active substance left, it is still very effective as the water is able to remember what was put in it and so it is still an effective treatment.
