Staff can use their own personal credit cards for purchases so as to maximize their “card points”.

Segregation of Duties: Ensuring the team member person who creates the transaction (i.e. purchase requisition, goods receipt) is not the person who approves it, or confirms the receipt of the goods or services.

Contracts include “handshake” agreements that procurement staff get invited regularly to the supplier’s corporate box.

Purchase order or supply contracts specify contract conditions, payment terms, performance expectation and issue resolution procedures.  

Supplier invoices match purchase order and goods/services receipt before any payments are authorized.
