The lift configuration should provide sufficient transport capacity corresponding to the peak demand capacity

Should have at least three lift groups to ensure acceptable performance

Should include a certain degree of over capacity to accommodate future traffic changes as reasonably anticipated

Waiting times should be acceptable in peak periods throughout the building

In the case of maintenance, the remaining capacity should remain sufficient to deal with continued demand
