Workplace safety rules are primarily regulated through this Act protecting employees from hazards.

Enables employees who lose their jobs to receive medical and other health insurance benefits for themselves & their dependents under their employer's policy while they look for a new job. 

State laws that provide compensation to employees or their dependents when a covered employee is injured or killed on the job.

Established federal minimum-wage and hours laws.

This Act created a commission that is charged with 1) enforcing all federal employment discrimination in employment statutes, 2)  investigating & litigating all grievances filed, and 3) issuing new antidiscrimination rules. 

Provides income in the case of death, disability or retirement and is funded by both an employee withholding amount and a matching employer contribution amount up to stated waged of $142,800 for 2021.

Prohibits employers from paying workers of one gender less than the wages paid to employees of the opposite gender assuming work requires same skill & effort.

Governs the operations of labor unions and created the "Labor Bill of Rights".

Enacted to encourage formation of labor unions and provide for collective bargaining by employees and employers. 

Requires large businesses with greater than 4,000 total work hours per week to give at least 60 days notice of any plant closing or mass layoff.

Prevents employers from discriminating against employees and applicants with disabilities

The Taft Hartley Act  of 1947 is also known as this Act. Taft Hartley Act was an amendment to the Wagner Act designed to limit some of the powers that unions had acquired under the Wagner Act. 

Federal law that sets minimum standards for most voluntarily established pension plans & health benefit plans in a private industry to provide protection to the individuals enrolled in these plans. 

This Act created a state system that provides compensation to qualified employees who lose their job. 

Prohibits employers from refusing to hire, discharge or discriminate against employees in terms and conditions of employment on the basis of age
