Paul wanted to

determine the strength of his organization’s culture, so he asked 6 of his

600-member organization for what they thought of the culture. They seemed to

agree that it is a person-oriented culture and therefore Paul decided that they

have a strong culture and determined no need to do further work on the company

culture.

Sue has noticed that one of her team members,

Ellen, has been leaving early every day from work for the past couple of weeks.

She assumes that it is because Ellen is lazy and not dedicated to her job.

Joe implemented drastic changes to the training process in his

department in order to streamline the experience for new hires. However, a

number of his colleagues have communicated they have concerns about his

proposed change after a number of new hires have made critical mistakes.

Despite mounting evidence that this was the wrong decision, Joe is continuing

to roll out these changes in the organization.    

Rachel

had been tasked of trying to decide on a new strategy to improve the

productivity of her team. She had heard about research that looked at the

relationship between having on-site gyms and worker productivity that showed

there was a strong correlation between the two. She decided that she just needs

to add gym facilities to the office to cause workers to be more productive.
