A minor may only be sterilised with the consent of his or her parent, guardian or curator.

A sterilisation may only be performed on a minor if failure to do so will jeopardise his or her life or impair his or her health.

An independent medical practitioner must consult with the minor and write a report indicating that sterilisation will be in his or her best interests.

A minor may only be sterilised after a panel of psychiatrists have indicated in writing that it will be in his or her best interests.
