In the process of modernism’s establishment, the Irish writer James Joyce, noted for his novels, short-stories and poems, appeared to be a crucial figure. But neither Joyce's Irish origin nor his Irish experiences are retraced in his writings. Most of his works are set in London and its suburbs.
