Meningitis is the inflammation of the three tissue layers e.g. dura, arachnoid, and pia maters, which are responsible for protecting the CNS. 

Luckily, death is rare among patients who receive early treatment. 

In the worst cases, meningitis causes death within a month. 

During the celebration, more than 2 000 cases of meningitis broke out.
