Once you open the quiz, you will
have 2 hours to complete it. Your timer begins the moment you open the
quiz — plan accordingly.
Complete
all five parts in SolidWorks. Work through them in order — each part
builds on the previous.
Refer
to the engineering drawing set (Sheets 1–5) provided. All dimensions are
in millimetres.
You
will be given the NACAXXX profile data points as a .txt file upon opening
the assessment. Use this file with the
SolidWorks Insert >
Curve > Curve Through XYZ Points
tool to import the airfoil
profile. Do not manually re-type the coordinates.
Save
your work frequently. Submit your SolidWorks part and assembly files
(.sldprt / .sldasm) to the course portal by the end of the session.
Name
your files using the convention: StudentID_PartN.sldprt (e.g.
z1234567_Part1.sldprt) and StudentID_Assembly.sldasm.
If
you cannot complete a part, move on and return to it. Partial marks are
awarded.
No
internet access or SolidWorks access issues are not an acceptable excuse.
All students have access to the computer labs on Level 2, Ainsworth
Building. It is your responsibility to ensure you complete the quiz in a
suitable environment.
