Max, an engineer, invented a new object from a metal scrap left from his bicycle and a wooden box that he kept in his garage. The object was very useful for sliding down a hill. Furthermore the object has never been invented before. Max, his engineer friends and experts in the field knew that he had invented a new object. He therefore applied for patent in his country. Max was not able to recreate or show the steps he followed to create the object. He only had the original object to show the invention. The patent application will most likely be rejected because:
1. Max can not show proof that he invented the object 2. The object could not be produced on a uniform or commercial scale 3. There is no description as to how the object could be produced in the manner that the person skilled in the art may understand it. 4. The object does not meet the criteria of novelty since he showed it to other engineers.
