·       To understand the role mental processes played (or could have played) in the personal experience you described in part 1 of the common assignment by identifying three cognitive distortions.

·       To provide examples of the cognitive distortions you identified.

·       Complete sentences must be used. Language use is worth 4 points.

Instructions. You are asked to:

1.      Choose a total of 3 cognitive distortions that were present during the personal experience you reported on in part 1 of the common assignment OR that you might have experienced in a similar situation.

2.      Define these distortions in your own words (in one or two sentence(s) maximum)

3.      Give examples of how each distortion appeared or could have appeared in your personal experience. Provide one example per distortion, in writing
