Treating someone with an identified attribute or characteristic less favourably that someone without that attribute or personal characteristic.

When someone is treated unfairly or singled out for poor treatment in the workplace. It can be due to any reason including things like having made a complaint of harassment.

Any behaviour that is either i) unwelcome, not asked for and not returned; ii) likely to humiliate, offend or intimidate some; or iii) based on a personal characteristic protected by law (e.g. age, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical features)
