Airbnb, an online marketplace that connects

travelers with people who want to rent out their properties, wanted to know how

many bedrooms Australians look for when looking to rent a property for a

holiday. Last summer, they created a randomly selected list of 2,000 customers

who had rented a property in Australia through Airbnb in the past two years.

They then emailed a survey to everyone on the list asking them how many times

they had rented through Airbnb in the past two years and how many bedrooms

those properties had. 260 customers responded. From this data, Airbnb concluded

that Australians looking to rent a property for a holiday on average look for 3

bedrooms.
