Once the half-castes were integrated into white society Mr Neville made sure they would work for him. 

He thought that taking half-caste children from their families would allow them to be accepted into white society as they wouldn't remember Aboriginal traditions, cultural views and beliefs.

He saw that fair-skinned Aboriginals could be taught how to integrate into European society

Mr Neville believed the light skinned half-castes would be able to assimilate into white society through adoption or being a houseworker

Mr Neville knew it was important that the half-caste children learned to integrate into white society as the Aboriginal populations were dying off.
