Endnote citations that have already been inserted into a MS Word document can be copied and pasted to other sections of a MS Word document and it will still format correctly

Citations can only be inserted into a MS Word document from within the Endnote software

It is not possible to change the style (i.e. appearance) of citations and references (e.g. from APA 7th to Vancouver) from within MS Word

If the text of an Endnote-generated reference list in a MS Word document is manually changed (e.g. typed over), these changes will be lost the next time the reference list is updated via Endnote
