A tourist is standing on a rock ledge hanging over a pool 65

metres below them.

They throw one stone vertically downwards, wait 1.5 s and

then throw a second stone vertically downwards. They see a single splash (both

stones hit the water at the same time). The initial speed of the first stone

was 2.2 m/s.

How much time has elapsed between the release of

the first stone and the second stone hitting the water? Give your answer to 1

decimal place in seconds. Write your answer without units i.e., 12.6 s as 12.6.
