You struggle with grammar when writing and often lose marks because of it, so you hire a tutor to polish your writing for an essay. Because the essay is for an English class, much of the final grade is based on grammar and clarity of ideas. The tutor doesn’t change your original ideas; she just edits or replaces words and sentences to make your writing sound better. Is this academic misconduct?
