Back off slowly, close the kennel door and get help

Open the door facing backwards and proceed into the kennel  

Open the door quickly and confidently and put a lead on the dog 

Open the door slowly while talking soothingly to the dog

When the programme finishes  

During your second trimester  

Look out for any hazards, take action to reduce them, and follow all safety protocols 

Follow safety protocols as directed but spotting hazards is not your responsibility 

Nothing, this is the responsibility of employed staff only 

Carry out a health and safety audit of any workplace you attend 

Ignore the symptoms until the animal is more stable 

Let the animal interact with other animals in the waiting area 

Notify the veterinarian and isolate the animal.  

Continue normal care while wearing a face mask 

You can manually restrain any animal for an X-ray if you are over 16

You must avoid manual restraint of animals for X-rays wherever possible, only a vet in some cases can manually restrain.  

You can assist with X-rays when you are pregnant if you wear a lead gown and gloves.

You can assist with X-rays but must be 1 metre away from the primary beam.
