C. elegans was the first animal to have its genome fully sequenced.Imagine you are studying neural tissue specification in the Xenopus model. The dorsal (“top”) part of the Xenopus blastula, called the “animal cap”, normally forms ectoderm-derived neural tissue and epidermis.
