Roger is aged 48 years and has recently visited his GP for

an annual check-up. He has a fasting blood sample collected as well as his

weight, height, and blood pressure assessed. Roger’s BMI is 30 kg/m² and he shows signs of hyperglycaemia (9.6 mmol/L, which
