Third order sensory neurons are in the VentroPosteroMedial (VPM) nucleus of the thalamus

The mesencephalic nucleus projects directly to the thalamus

Information coming from cerebral and meningeal vessels are relayed to the spinal trigeminal nucleus

Carries information from the medial division of the dorsal roots

Originates mostly from Clarke's column

Reaches the cerebellum via the inferior cerebellar peduncle

Brings to the cerebellum information from the contralateral side of the body

Crosses in the anterior white commisure
