Purpose

Working in a team encourages personal growth, increases job satisfaction, and reduces stress.

Research shows that collaborative problem-solving leads to better outcomes.

Teamwork  provides more opportunities for blame-shifting and allows individuals to avoid taking responsibility for their work

People are more likely to take calculated risks that lead to innovation if they have the support of a team behind them.

Listen carefully. Ask for clarification if necessary. Wait until the person has finished talking to respond and avoid interrupting.

 Interrupt others to tell them your "better" idea , thus reducing time and reducing conflict.

Summarise and repeat back what you have heard 

Consider adopting a team social contract to set expectations upfront.  Establish a good feedback loop. Invite feedback on our own ideas Encourage openness to alternate solutions 

Only work with some of the team members. No point in ensuring all feel included.

Make sure you know your answer to what your team member has to say, before your team member has finished speaking.

 Respect and build on other people’s ideas. Avoid criticising other’s ideas, instead provide constructive feedback. Set standards (communication, expectations, documentation etc) ahead of time. 

Use effective communication and active listening skills when trying to address the conflict

Apologise if required and forgive (don’t retain resentment)

Try to determine the root cause of the conflict

Separate the person from the problem

Ignore that person's input

Refuse to work with that person

Seek to understand the other person’s view

Reducing interruptions. A study published in the Information Systems Journal found that even short interruptions (such as clicking a Next button to go to another page for more content) can trigger users on a social ecommerce platform to change their task.

Lowering interaction cost . If the page loads new items continuously and quickly, without users having to press a button and wait for a new page to load, the interaction cost is diminished.

Improved posture: Thanks to the irresistible urge to "just scroll one more page," you'll never need to get up and move around again! 

Enhanced memory: With a constant stream of information bombarding your brain, you'll never forget anything ever again!

Improved focus -Infinite scrolling eliminates the need for pesky decisions like "what to click on next?" 

Well-suited for mobile devices. As Mobile viewports are small, users are already engaging in extensive scrolling (if they have something to scroll for), keeping their finger close to the screen and ready to swipe do

Reduced stress: No more anxiety about missing out on the latest content! Infinite scrolling ensures you'll see absolutely everything, even if it takes days

Reduced Content Consumption: Infinite scrolling forces users to slow down and savor each piece of content before moving on. This ensures they truly appreciate every detail and don't miss anything important! 

Infinite scrolling (without a Load More button) can make it impossible to access the footer of a website. The constant stream of content prevents users from reaching useful information usually hosted in the footer (e.g., contact information, return policies)

Illusion of Completeness- On some pages that use infinite scrolling without a Load More button, the user may assume that the end of the content stream has been reached as new content loads in the background, below the fold. Usually, this problem arises when there is no indication that additional content is loading as users reach the end of their preloaded content

Difficulty refinding content.  Landmarks to help users orient themselves. With pagination, users may remember the page that an item was on and that an item was close to the top of the page or towards the middle, but in an infinite list of items, it is hard to remember the location of any specific item and return to it.
