It allows the STM32 Nucleo board to send serial data using only 3 pins and converts it into 8 parallel outputs for the LCD.

It ensure along with potentiometer the stable working of LCD. 

It allows an interface between Temperature Sensor, STM32 Nucleo Board, and LCD hence completing the embedded system design chain.

It is essential to use a shift register with an LCD otherwise the LCD will not work properly.

Interaction of rotor magnetic field and stator magnetic field generates a force, which creates torque for the rotor to rotate.

During rotation since the orientation of current flow direction relative to stator reverses hence the direction of induced force and rotation remains the same.
